Hi-Level Awarded Tesco Contract

Tesco’s have awarded Hi-Level Mezzanines a contract to provide a mezzanine floor for its national distribution centre in Crick.

The site will stock Tesco’s clothing returns, where the products will be sorted and repackaged.

The mezzanine floor from Hi-Level Mezzanines comprises of two levels covering a total area of 17,000 sq. metres and has been designed to be extended by a further 8,000 sq. metres in the future. The floors incorporate five staircases, fire protection to the steelwork, two staircase enclosures, two 100 metre long fire resistant escape corridors, 7 metre long fire resistant bridge corridor from new mezzanine to existing offices and 7.5 metre long ramp from new mezzanine to an existing mezzanine floor.

The lead project manager for Tesco’s distribution and dotcom business said: “I have been very impressed with Hi-Level Mezzanines’ approach to ensure the client is getting what they require and to work within our tight programme and cost parameters”
