Leeroy Reynolds is Key Account Manager at Hi-Level Mezzanines. He has worked in the construction industry for more than 21 years and his background spans roles in surveying and project management.
1. What major changes have you seen since the last IMHX show three years ago?
Back in 2022 I was part of Hi-Level’s Contracts team, working as a Surveyor and Project Manager. Since moving into the Sales team in late 2024 I’ve focused on re-engaging with former clients and building new relationships. One exciting development since the last IMHX has been the introduction of our unique Hi-Tile flooring system, which was launched at that show. I’ve been actively presenting it to clients this year and the response has been overwhelmingly positive, so I’m looking forward to showing it off to everyone at this IMHX.
2. What challenges is Hi-Level currently helping customers solve?
The last few years have brought a great deal of market uncertainty, with factors such as rising energy costs, labour shortages and geopolitical issues all impacting business confidence. For many companies I speak to, relocating premises feels like too great a risk. Mezzanine floors offer a cost-effective, low-disruption alternative – allowing clients to expand within their current space. It’s a smart way to increase capacity without the complexities of moving.
3. What are you most looking forward to about IMHX 2025
This will be my first time attending IMHX, and I’m genuinely excited. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet many of the contacts I’ve connected with over the past year in person. I’m really looking forward to the networking aspect – building new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
4. You see so many different projects at Hi-Level. Tell us about an interesting building, challenge or customer that has inspired you.
A standout project for me was one we completed for a Formula One facility. We installed a mezzanine floor that would serve as a café, changing rooms and more for their drivers. The site was filled with vintage F1 cars – which was amazing to see – and the overall facility plans for the future, including high-end driving simulators, were incredibly impressive. It was a truly unique environment to work in.
5. And finally, outside work what is the most amazing space or iconic building you have visited … and why is it your favourite?
That’s easy, the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. The scale of the Great Pyramid is absolutely jaw-dropping. Although the narrow stairwells inside were a tight squeeze, standing in the chambers built from individual, massive stone blocks was unforgettable. As one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, it absolutely lived up to its reputation.
