We’ve never seen a show like it!
Within six minutes of the inaugural IWLEX (Inside Warehouse & Logistics Exhibition) opening, we had our first inquiry in the bag.
The two days in May at the Telford International Centre went on to be the most successful trade show we have attended in terms of deals created at the event itself and immediately afterwards.
We even won the Commerce award, one of the five Core Pillar Awards at IWLEX.

The show brought together more than 100 exhibitors from the warehouse and intralogistics sector for its first edition, with over 50 speakers.
There was an excellent mix of system integrators offering automation solutions and we had really good conversations with several of our clients.

Innovative robot-ready flooring
One of the show highlights was the launch of Hi-Tile, our innovative robot-ready flooring system to meet the demands of the booming global logistics automation sector – and we were delighted to see it feature in the magazine Warehouse & Logistics News.
Hi-Tile uses robust interlocking 7mm textured PVC tiles to create the most durable, cost-effective flooring on the market. Its seamless interlocking joints, electrostatic resistance and anti-slip surface make it the perfect partner to robotics solutions.
It is already in use by Geek Plus Robotics and with Locus’s Directed Picking technology, and it was hugely encouraging to see the enthusiastic reception Hi-Tile received at IWLEX.
Attendees were impressed that it is not only half the price of using expensive steel plates on timber board, it is moisture resistant so avoids the cracking and blistering seen with epoxy resin floors. With a 10-year wearability warranty, it is also an outstanding improvement on brittle phenolic (laminate) decking panels.
Building relationships
A month on from IWLEX we have a number of orders underway, including a mezzanine walkway for a major retailer that has set up a test area for robots within a shipping container. This is a great example of how, although we work on much bigger projects with most of our clients, we are happy to help out with smaller challenges to build relationships.
As this was the first IWLEX show, it was great to see UKWA and AMHSA (the automated material handling systems association) supporting it.
